Green Littmann Stethoscope: What Actually Exists (and the Matcha Green That Is Coming)

The short answer

Let us save you the search: there is no green Littmann Classic III in the current lineup, and green replacement tubing for the Classic III does not exist from anyone. Yet. Matcha Chrome, our satin matcha green replacement tubing, is in development right now, and the factory samples are already in our hands. It is the single most requested color on our Core Collection list. Waitlist members get it first, before public launch. If you want a color refresh today instead, tubing currently comes in 5 colors from $29, and the full Stethoscope Lab build is $49.

What green Littmann stethoscopes actually exist

Green is one of the rarest colors 3M has ever put on a Littmann. It has surfaced only in occasional editions and select models over the years, and it is absent from the current Classic III lineup. If you happen to catch a green edition in stock for the model you want, that is factory green at new-stethoscope pricing, typically $100 to $250. For everyone else, and that is most people searching this, there has been no way to get a green stethoscope without settling for a budget brand. That is the gap Matcha Chrome exists to close.

Matcha Chrome: the green we are building

Matcha Chrome is a muted, satin-finish matcha green replacement tubing made to fit the Littmann Classic III. Not a neon, not a surgical teal: a calm, expensive-looking green that pairs with neutral and earth-tone scrubs, the same family FIGS built its bestsellers in. The factory samples photographed above are real and in our hands now, and the color is in final development for our Core Collection.

Worth knowing

Matcha Chrome is the most requested color on our waitlist by a wide margin, and the waitlist is not a formality: it is how colors get greenlit and how launch access is ordered. When Matcha Chrome goes live, waitlist members are messaged first, before any public announcement. If green is your color, that list is the whole game.

Why a tubing swap instead of a new stethoscope

Your Littmann's acoustics live in the chestpiece, and the chestpiece never comes off during a tubing swap. The tubing is the visible part, and it swaps tool-free in under a minute: the old tubing releases from the chestpiece, the new tubing pushes on. Same stethoscope, same sound, completely different look, for a fraction of a new Littmann. The full walkthrough is in our guide to changing the color of your Littmann Classic III.

What you can buy today

While Matcha Chrome finishes development, replacement tubing currently comes in 5 colors (Black, Raspberry, Caribbean Blue, Chocolate, and Plum) from $29, full color kits with matched rings and ear tips run $39 to $49 and ship free, and the Stethoscope Lab lets you build your own combination for $49.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Littmann make a green stethoscope?

Not in the current Classic III lineup. Green has appeared only in occasional Littmann editions and select models over the years, and those rotate out of the catalog. If you find one in stock for your model, it is factory green at new-stethoscope pricing.

Is there green replacement tubing for the Littmann Classic III?

Not yet, from anyone. That is exactly what Matcha Chrome is: satin matcha green replacement tubing for the Classic III, in development with factory samples already produced. The waitlist gets first access when it launches.

What is Matcha Chrome?

The first green in our Core Collection: a muted satin green replacement tubing for the Littmann Classic III, built to pair with neutral and earth-tone scrubs. It is the most requested color on our waitlist and the factory samples are in hand now.

When does Matcha Chrome launch, and how do I get it first?

It is in final development now. Join the Core Collection waitlist and you will be messaged before the public launch. Waitlist demand also decides which colors get made next, so signing up is a vote as much as a reservation.

Will a green tubing swap change how my Littmann sounds?

No. The chestpiece and diaphragm do all the listening and never come off during a tubing swap. You are only changing the visible tubing, so your Classic III performs exactly as it did before.

What green options can I buy today?

For a satin green Classic III, the honest answer is: join the waitlist, because nothing buyable exists yet. If you want a refresh now, current tubing colors are Black, Raspberry, Caribbean Blue, Chocolate, and Plum from $29, and full color kits run $39 to $49.

Are these genuine Littmann parts?

No. Our parts are independent aftermarket accessories made to fit the Littmann Classic III, and we are not affiliated with 3M or Littmann. Littmann does not offer Classic III tubing in colors, which is why aftermarket parts are how stethoscopes get recolored.

Can I get what I paid back for a stethoscope color kit or replacement tubing?

Yes. If you buy an eligible stethoscope color kit or replacement tubing from medmotivate.com, post a genuine before-and-after within 30 days after delivery, tag @MotivatEM with the required disclosure, and submit the post through the offer page, you can get what you paid for that item back as store credit toward a future order. This is store credit, not cash, and the offer applies only to eligible color kits and replacement tubing, not standalone ear tips, rings, holders, or other products. Full details at medmotivate.com/pages/earn-it-back.

MotivatEM is an independent brand and is not affiliated with or endorsed by 3M or Littmann. Our color parts are aftermarket accessories designed to fit the Littmann Classic III, not genuine 3M or Littmann products. Littmann and Classic III are trademarks of their respective owners.
